KGHM has been mining and processing valuable natural resources for over 55 years. Its core is the largest deposit of copper ore in Europe, located in south-western Poland. Due to its rich experience, openness and constant improvement of competences, the company has built a unique culture of cooperation and achieved a high position on the international arena.
KGHM conducts technologically advanced exploration and production and smelting activities. The company has assets located on three continents focusing on mining of ores, production of copper and other non-ferrous metals. The extracted raw material is enriched in the Ore Enrichment Plants. On the other hand, production of copper, silver, gold, lead and other metals takes place in "Głogów", "Legnica" smelters and "Cedynia" rolling mill.
Copper, silver and other metals bearing the KGHM mark have for years been synonymous with the highest quality, appreciated and recognised worldwide. KGHM is also the only European producer of rhenium and ammonium perrhenate from its own resources. The product portfolio also includes new metals such as molybdenum, palladium and nickel, paving the way for KGHM to take a strong position among global multi-material companies.
KGHM maintains a sustainable development policy, has a reputation as a reliable producer, and is a responsible employer. The company employs more than 18 thousand people. Thanks to their knowledge, experience and responsibility, precious metals, without which the world's development would not be possible, are being brought to global markets.
